About Jordan Trail Association
Founded in July 2015, the Jordan Trail Association develops a long-distance walking route connecting northern and southern Jordan, from Umm Qais to Aqaba. It introduces visitors to the country’s landscapes, heritage and communities while promoting responsible tourism and environmental care.
Its work includes trail development and maintenance, waymarking, maps, visitor information and navigation resources. The association works with guides, service providers and homestays to support walking experiences and connect visitors with local services.
Training, volunteering and tourism-related livelihood opportunities support communities along the route. The association is based near Amman’s Fourth Circle, with field activities extending along the trail.
