The Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts was established in 1980 by the Royal Society of Fine Arts. It presents modern and contemporary art, with attention to artists from the Global South and cultural diversity, and works to broaden public engagement with art.
Its collections and activities encompass painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, installations and video. It organizes exhibitions and artistic exchanges alongside educational and community outreach programmes, including a mobile museum and the Hiwar Art Club.
The Factory platform supports experimentation, collaboration, artist residencies and youth participation across visual, performing and other creative disciplines. The museum is on Husni Fareez Street in Jabal Al Weibdeh, Amman.
