Founded by HRH Princess Rym Ali in 2007, Jordan Media Institute develops journalism and media practice in Jordan and the Arab region. It officially opened in 2010 with the launch of its master’s programme in journalism and new media.
Teaching combines theory, practical production, professional ethics and digital media technologies. Its work includes professional training, research and policy, media and information literacy, and the Akeed credibility monitor. Studios, newsrooms, a library and training spaces support learning closely connected to media practice.
