Founded in 1983, HelpAge International promotes older people’s rights, wellbeing and participation through a worldwide network of local organisations. Its work combines advocacy, technical support and partnerships addressing health, income security, protection and humanitarian inclusion.

In Jordan it partners with the King Hussein Foundation’s Institute for Family Health on health and protection for vulnerable older people and people with disabilities among refugees and host communities in Amman, Irbid and Zarqa. Collaboration with Sisterhood Is Global Institute Jordan also addresses older people’s rights and violence and discrimination affecting older women.
