About General Union of Voluntary Societies – Jordan
Established in 1959, the General Union of Voluntary Societies is a non-profit voluntary body. It works with governorate unions and their member societies to coordinate efforts, improve social services and support sustainable development.
Its programmes cover education and childhood, economic empowerment, health, social protection, the environment, institutional capacity building and volunteering. It also supports union and association projects and is governed by an elected body representing governorate unions. Its headquarters is in Jabal Al-Weibdeh, Amman.
