AVSI has operated in Jordan since 2001 through development cooperation and humanitarian programmes. It supports vulnerable Jordanians and refugees in collaboration with local authorities, municipalities, educational institutions and community partners.

Its fields include education, child protection, vocational training, employment, women’s empowerment and environmental sustainability. Cultural heritage protection and responsible tourism are linked to local development, alongside infrastructure rehabilitation and improved access to services.

Programmes reach governorates including Ajloun, Zarqa, Mafraq, Ma’an and Aqaba and provide educational and psychosocial support for children and families. The main office is in Jabal Al-Weibdeh, Amman; the Aqaba office is at 12 Al-Sahbah Street in the third area.
