About Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ)
Founded in 2005 and based in Amman, ARIJ supports professional, independent investigative journalism in the Arab world. It helps journalists develop evidence-based investigations into issues that matter to communities.
ARIJ provides training, mentoring, research, logistical, production and funding support for journalistic projects, alongside cooperation with regional and international publishers. Learning areas include story development, research, interviewing, verification, data analysis and safety.
The ARIJ Academy offers in-person and online learning and resources for journalists and trainers. The network’s work covers accountability, the environment, human rights and gender issues, while connecting journalists and enabling the exchange of professional experience.
