Adaleh Center for Human Rights Studies was established in 2003 by Jordanian human-rights activists as an independent, non-governmental, nonprofit and politically neutral institution. It promotes human-rights culture, the rule of law and protection for vulnerable and marginalized groups.
The centre conducts research, training, awareness and advocacy and develops individual and institutional capacity. Its work includes free legal assistance, monitoring detention conditions and torture-related concerns, and dialogue on digital rights and the effects of new technologies.
It works with judges, prosecutors, lawyers, academics, journalists, students and local and international organizations. The office is on Al Mawardi Street, building 4, first floor, Tlaa Al Ali, Amman.
